Tree Service Backyard Tree Hazard Removal in Houston

I definitely do not recommend this company . I have lived in our house for 3 years . After the freeze we had a lot of dead garden plants and paid someone to redo our garden . They must have used bad quality fill dirt because our garden became riddled with weeds . We never had a single weed in the three years we’d lived here until they redid our garden . So we hired H&H Landscaping to fix this problem . I know some weeds are inevitable, but we hard weeds in every quarter inch . I hold H&H Landscaping all I want is for the weed issue to be gone . I don’t care what they have to do, my only concern is the mass amount of weeds . They assured me they could handle the job, that this was an easy job . We paid over $800 and all they did was hand pull the weeds and put mulch on top . They trimmed two trees and brought us a rose bush . That is it . They did this job on Thursday, July 20, by Sunday July 23 our garden already had a ton of weeds growing through treekote wound dressing . This is unacceptable and of poor quality . I texted to ask about this and they said to “keep an eye on it and weed when we see fit” . One of the men working on our garden told me to call them to come back every two weeks to weed the garden for us . What ? They distinctly told me they could take care of the weeds “no problem” . Well, we have a problem . There are still weeds, a ton of them . So I called my bank to withhold payment, and this was only after trying to reach out to have the problem resolved, and suddenly they were too busy to help . They did finally send a crew out to put down the weed barrier, however they didnt have enough mulch to cover it, so the weed barrier is still poking through, and they only put weed barrier down on one half of the garden . so half my garden has an overgrowth of weeds . What an absolute waste of money . I could have done this and saved myself $600 . I was lied to and completely ripped off . I thought we were dealing with professionals but that is not what we experienced . I would not recommend them unless you need a tree trimmed . That’s about it . I have attached photos of the work done, and this is AFTER they came back out to fix the problem...It looks horrible and its just a month later . I was as polite as possible, and waited a long time to write a review because I didnt want to do it in anger, but I am still very upset and disappointed . They never reached back out to see if the job was satisfactory, they just seemed annoyed that I was asking them to do what I paid for and they seemed put out with me . I just want the job done right and I want what we paid for . Not this.September 13,2023I am responding to the reply I was given . This is quite frankly untrue . I told you guys I wanted my entire garden ripped out and only one row of bushes left because I did not want to deal with the weeds . I said sod the whole thing . YOUR man, said he did not have to do that . This was an EASY job and that he would take care of the weeds . He said hes done work for the University of Houston and this was a small job, he did not have to pull the weeds in order to get rid of the weeds, his crew could handle it . it was not until AFTER I complained about there being weeds that he went back on his previous statement and said oh actually I cant take care of the weeds . If that was true, then he should have pulled the garden and quoted me to sod the whole area instead of talking me out of that because he guarantied no weeds . As of today, no one has reached back out to me to correct this issue as was said in the reply . I also think it is worth mentioning that almost every single one of my bushes DIED after they came back and put in a root barrier . I have a sprinkler system so it was not the draught . Also, the other half of the garden (Where they did NOT put in a weed barrier) none of my bushes died on that side . So not only did they NOT do the job I paid them for, after coming back to remedy their mistake they killed my bushes . I will try to upload photos of all my dead bushes, next to my sprinkler system so they cant claim it was the draught and lack of water.

Had multiple trees taken down removed on the backside of our yard. Great care was taken to not damage my yard and property was left clean. Have recommended to family with great results as well.

Was at Lowes in cranberry 8/2/17 .me and my husband went there to buy some pipping we walk in the store and there was no workers around . I wanted to go to the Lawn and garden and they was having a sale 50% off on all greenery and scrubs so we seen some trees and they looked like they were half dead so i grab one of the trees and there was a tag on the table next to the other trees also . So anyway my husband looking for a flat cart there was none in the store and we couldnt find anyone . So my husband had to go out to the parking lot and get a cart tree removal wayzata . He seen a kid standing around and told him theres no carts or buggys and the kid said it happens smh . So were getting this big pipe still seen no one around me and my husband had to put this pipe on this flat cart we go up to pay for are things and the plants we got so the casher scans the tree and it was the full price and i told her there was a tag that said 50% she was very disrespectful and i told her i dont want it . She takes it out of my buggy and kinda just set the plant hard on the floor . My husband was really upset for the service we got and my husband said he will never walk into another Lowes again .he wants me to cut up my credit card . Now the manager said she will give me the tree half price and that was nice of her . But she should of came up to the cashier and took care of the problem in the first place .we tried to call Lowes several times on our way home and there was no when theyre to even answer the phone and a recording would come on to give you options on what department you want well since the operator would not answer the phone my husband called back again and started pressing different buttons to see if anybody was working in any Department finally he pressed 5 which was the paint department and got a guy and he was talking to the guy and my husband asked are you the anyone working there at Lowes and the guy that works there said sometimes I think so lol so that dont say too much about Lowes when an employee makes a comment like that . And then finally after 10 minutes waiting on the phone my husband talks to the manager and my husband proceeded to tell her what was going on and all she kept doing was I apologize Im sorry Im so sorry I apologize well my husband wasnt accepting her apology because he was so aggravated and upset for what he had to go through in the store and then trying to call Lowes and nobody would answer the phone . Well he did tell the manager he will never step a foot in Lowes ever again . So even if they try to make the problem better its kind of late they should have solved the problem at that time when we were there . They need to teach their employees to respect the customers . And dont treat the customers like we are an inconvenience.

Rick and Luke did a fantastic job on our yard! They were fast, efficient, had all the right tools for the job! To top it off, their charge was very competitive with other tree/ clearing service in the area! Will recommend them to anyone who asks!

Living in Houston, having trees in your backyard can be a beautiful and beneficial addition to your property. However, it is crucial to understand the importance of removing tree hazards to ensure the safety of your home, family, and neighbors.

Backyard tree hazards can pose significant risks, especially during extreme weather conditions that Houston often experiences, such as hurricanes, thunderstorms, and strong winds. Trees with weak branches or structural issues can easily break or fall, causing damage to your property, vehicles, or even harm to individuals nearby.

  • One of the main reasons to remove backyard tree hazards is to prevent accidents and injuries. Falling branches or entire trees can result in serious harm, especially if they land on someone or cause structural damage to buildings.
  • Removing tree hazards also helps to protect your property from potential damage. A falling tree can easily break windows, damage rooftops, or even collapse parts of your house.
  • Moreover, removing tree hazards improves the overall health and vitality of your trees. By eliminating weak or diseased branches, you allow the tree to focus its resources on healthy growth, which enhances its ability to withstand future storms or other stressors.
  • Additionally, addressing backyard tree hazards can have a positive impact on the surrounding environment. Diseased or damaged trees can spread their illnesses or pests to other nearby trees, leading to a decline in the overall ecosystem. Removing these hazards helps to maintain the health and balance of the local flora and fauna.

The Dangers of Unattended Trees in Residential Areas

When it comes to maintaining a safe and pleasant living environment, it is crucial to pay attention to the condition of the trees in residential areas. Trees, although beautiful and beneficial, can pose potential hazards if left unattended.

Property Damage and Personal Injury Risks

Unattended trees in residential areas can become a serious threat to both property and personal safety. Over time, trees can develop weak branches or limbs that are prone to breaking off during strong winds or storms. These falling branches can cause significant damage to roofs, vehicles, and other structures nearby. Moreover, if a branch were to fall on an individual, it could result in severe injuries or even fatalities.

Electricity and Utility Line Interference

Another danger of unattended trees is their potential interference with utility lines. As trees grow, their branches can come into contact with power lines, telephone lines, and other utility cables. This poses a risk of electrical hazards, such as power outages, fires, or even electrocution. Additionally, tree branches interfering with these lines can disrupt communication services and cause inconvenience to residents.

It is essential to regularly inspect trees in residential areas to identify any potential risks. Pruning or removing weak, dead, or overgrown branches can help mitigate these dangers and ensure the safety of both property and individuals. Consulting professional tree service providers, equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools, is recommended for effective and safe tree maintenance.

When it comes to maintaining a safe and well-maintained backyard, it is important to be aware of potential tree hazards. Trees provide shade, beauty, and numerous environmental benefits, but they can also pose risks if not properly taken care of. By identifying potential tree hazards in your backyard, you can take proactive measures to prevent accidents and damage.

1. Leaning or Unstable Trees

One of the first signs of a potential tree hazard is a tree that is leaning or appears to be unstable. This can indicate weak root systems or structural issues that can lead to the tree falling or branches breaking off. If you notice a tree in your backyard that is leaning noticeably, it is important to have it inspected by a professional tree service to assess its stability.

2. Dead or Diseased Trees

Dead or diseased trees are not only unsightly, but they can also be hazardous. Dead trees can easily become weak and brittle, making them more susceptible to falling during storms or high winds. Diseased trees, on the other hand, can have weakened branches or compromised structural integrity. Regularly inspect your backyard for any signs of dead or diseased trees and have them removed by a professional tree service if necessary.

  • Look for signs of decay, such as mushrooms or soft wood
  • Check for dead branches or a lack of foliage
  • Observe if the tree has an overall unhealthy appearance

3. Overhanging Branches

Overhanging branches can pose a hazard to both people and property. These branches can become a potential danger if they are hanging over walkways, driveways, or structures. During storms or high winds, these branches can break off and cause damage. Regularly inspect your backyard for overhanging branches and have them trimmed or removed by a professional tree service.

4. Cracks or Splits

Cracks or splits in the trunk or major branches of a tree can indicate structural weaknesses. These weaknesses can lead to the tree or branches falling unexpectedly. If you notice any cracks or splits in the trees in your backyard, it is important to seek professional advice to determine if the tree needs to be removed or if measures can be taken to mitigate the risk.

By being vigilant and regularly inspecting your backyard for potential tree hazards, you can ensure the safety of your property and loved ones. If you are unsure about the health or stability of a tree, it is always best to consult with a professional tree service for an expert opinion and necessary action.

The Process of Tree Hazard Removal: From Assessment to Cleanup

In the realm of tree services, the removal of hazardous trees is a crucial task that requires careful planning and execution. This process involves a series of steps, from the initial assessment of the tree's condition to the final cleanup of debris. Understanding the process of tree hazard removal can help homeowners in Houston make informed decisions and ensure the safety of their backyard.

First and foremost, a professional tree service company will conduct a thorough assessment of the tree to determine its level of hazard. This assessment involves evaluating various factors such as the tree's health, structural integrity, and proximity to structures or power lines. By identifying potential risks, the tree service experts can develop an appropriate plan for removal.

  • Trim branches that are too close to power lines or buildings
  • Thin out dense foliage to improve air circulation
  • Prune crossing or rubbing branches to prevent damage

Hiring professionals ensures that the job is done safely and effectively. Professional arborists have the necessary knowledge, experience, and equipment to handle tree removal, stump grinding, and other specialized services.

Regular tree care not only helps maintain the safety of your backyard but also enhances its beauty and value. By staying proactive and addressing tree hazards promptly, you can enjoy a safe and inviting outdoor space for years to come.
