Tree Service: Quality Workmanship and Affordable Pricing in Houston

I definitely do not recommend this company . I have lived in our house for 3 years . After the freeze we had a lot of dead garden plants and paid someone to redo our garden . They must have used bad quality fill dirt because our garden became riddled with weeds . We never had a single weed in the three years we’d lived here until they redid our garden . So we hired H&H Landscaping to fix this problem . I know some weeds are inevitable, but we hard weeds in every quarter inch . I hold H&H Landscaping all I want is for the weed issue to be gone . I don’t care what they have to do, my only concern is the mass amount of weeds . They assured me they could handle the job, that this was an easy job . We paid over $800 and all they did was hand pull the weeds and put mulch on top . They trimmed two trees and brought us a rose bush . That is it . They did this job on Thursday, July 20, by Sunday July 23 our garden already had a ton of weeds growing through . This is unacceptable and of poor quality juniperus semiglobosa . I texted to ask about this and they said to “keep an eye on it and weed when we see fit” . One of the men working on our garden told me to call them to come back every two weeks to weed the garden for us . What ? They distinctly told me they could take care of the weeds “no problem” . Well, we have a problem . There are still weeds, a ton of them . So I called my bank to withhold payment, and this was only after trying to reach out to have the problem resolved, and suddenly they were too busy to help . They did finally send a crew out to put down the weed barrier, however they didnt have enough mulch to cover it, so the weed barrier is still poking through, and they only put weed barrier down on one half of the garden . so half my garden has an overgrowth of weeds . What an absolute waste of money . I could have done this and saved myself $600 . I was lied to and completely ripped off . I thought we were dealing with professionals but that is not what we experienced . I would not recommend them unless you need a tree trimmed . That’s about it . I have attached photos of the work done, and this is AFTER they came back out to fix the problem...It looks horrible and its just a month later . I was as polite as possible, and waited a long time to write a review because I didnt want to do it in anger, but I am still very upset and disappointed . They never reached back out to see if the job was satisfactory, they just seemed annoyed that I was asking them to do what I paid for and they seemed put out with me . I just want the job done right and I want what we paid for . Not this.September 13,2023I am responding to the reply I was given . This is quite frankly untrue . I told you guys I wanted my entire garden ripped out and only one row of bushes left because I did not want to deal with the weeds . I said sod the whole thing . YOUR man, said he did not have to do that . This was an EASY job and that he would take care of the weeds . He said hes done work for the University of Houston and this was a small job, he did not have to pull the weeds in order to get rid of the weeds, his crew could handle it . it was not until AFTER I complained about there being weeds that he went back on his previous statement and said oh actually I cant take care of the weeds . If that was true, then he should have pulled the garden and quoted me to sod the whole area instead of talking me out of that because he guarantied no weeds . As of today, no one has reached back out to me to correct this issue as was said in the reply . I also think it is worth mentioning that almost every single one of my bushes DIED after they came back and put in a root barrier . I have a sprinkler system so it was not the draught . Also, the other half of the garden (Where they did NOT put in a weed barrier) none of my bushes died on that side . So not only did they NOT do the job I paid them for, after coming back to remedy their mistake they killed my bushes . I will try to upload photos of all my dead bushes, next to my sprinkler system so they cant claim it was the draught and lack of water.

We contacted Stumpf’s to provide us with an estimate for some very over grown large flower beds complete it’s terrible thistle weeds at our house that my Dad used to care for. He had recently passed and my husband and I have limited time to care for them. We knew we wanted to make them smaller and more manageable. Roxanne was extremely professional. Came for the estimate and saw our vision while helping to keep the heart of my dad’s gardens the Azalea bushes which he loved. She provided a very timely and reasonable estimate. We had places not even call us back or simply say it was too big of a job. She came back with a reasonable price and started the work almost immediately. Her crew was here 3 days and provided tree removal, Bush removal, trimming, planting grass, clean up and mulching. WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! It looks amazing. What took them 2 days would’ve taken us weeks. We even were able to plant a small vegetable garden in an area they cleared. We are so excited to work with Roxanne and her team moving forward to maintain our landscaping. Would highly recommend them for your landscaping needs!!!!

Im usually a harsh critic, but this company exceeded my expectations.Ill be honest, I was a little hesitant when I spoke to them on the phone . They couldnt give me an exact time they would be out here because they had different appointments throughout the day . Understandable, just inconvenient for my schedule :) . This wouldnt normally bother me, except I work from home and I take client phone calls so I didnt want to have interruptions . Other than that they were very willing to work around my needs.They showed up with a whole crew, and asked me what I wanted done . We rent a home in Killeen and when we moved in the bushes in the front were growing to tree length . Its been a year and since neither my boyfriend nor I have had much experience with maintaining a front yard, we are embarrassed to say we had no idea what we were doing.I gave them basic instructions, they gave me a price and started working . The price was very reasonable-- I was honestly expecting to pay a lot more . I did shop around too, and got estimates from other companies before I called them to come out spider web that looks like cotton candy . For the work they did, we definitely under-paid . I thought they were just going to use some cutters and trim.. . instead they came with chainsaws and removed the horrible mess we call bushes.The best part is that they cleaned up very nicely too . I had hired another company last summer and the one-person crew gave me a higher price and did not clean up . This crew not only cleaned up nicely, they asked me if I was satisfied at the end . Very much so ! I hopped on my laptop right away and started writing this review.Do yourself a favor and spend the money to get your lawn mowed by this company .
