Went by this store yesterday and I was so disappointed in the service I received. It was a woman lead or manager onboarding another employee. Having discussions about the new employees allergic reaction to Benadryl and opioids…. They could completely care less about the customers and helping us. Boxes were in the aisles everywhere, I asked one simple question if they maybe had an item and the managers exact answer was if you don’t see it we don’t have it and she just turned around an walked away in the middle of me asking another question with no response from her. I have worked in customer service for 20+ years and THIS is worst dollar tree! To share, I visited 7 Dollar Tree’s in a two day period trying to find the items I was looking for. All the others were so friendly!

Where do I begin ? We needed a swing set pad set into our yard that has a significant slope . Admittedly, I felt a bit awkward asking a landscaping company to do this, since it wasnt a traditional landscaping request . Blue Morning was one of the folks I reached out to . They came that same week to look at our property and walk us through what they could do dr davey amarillo . They were beyond professional, courteous, and attentive . It is because of their knowledge and such that we chose them for this job.Neill, Austin, and Brent were amazing . They walked us through each step of the way . One of our concerns was there being enough space for their equipment to reach the backyard . They suggested digging into some of the side yard (into a small hill), grading that dig, and laying down stone to create an extension of our driveway . The road looks like its been there all along ! Such attention to detail . They took the large boulders from the dirt they excavated and created a small wall along the top of the hill; it looks fabulous ! The road isnt finished yet; theyll be coming back once the pool is completed to put stone and such along the hillside. In the process of creating the road, they saw that a small magnolia tree was in the way . Instead of scraping the tree, they dug it out, moved it, and replanted it for us.My 4 year old son is enamored with construction trucks . We spent the first day from 8am until 4pm, when Blue Morning finished for the day, watching Neill and his crew dig, move, and tamp the dirt . They were so patient with my son and his barely contained excitement at having a real life excavator and dump truck in our backyard . They treated him like an actual person, not someone who was in the way, or a pesty kid.The job was completed on time, when promised . I am impressed with their workmanship, demeanor, and care . We will be having a pool installed this season, and have already arranged with Blue Morning to do the landscaping, rock, and brickwork after the pool is finished. If you want a job done right, right the first time, with studious care and attention to detail, call Blue Morning.

Patriot cut all of my trees and shrubs, mulched my front beds, and layed river rock on my back beds. They carefully cut in a nice, deep edge before doing so. They also re-laid some large bluestone for my back walkway. No cleanup work was left for me. These guys were very up front, reasonable, timely, professional, and enjoyed their work. As a former landscaper I can tell you this team was excellent. I would not hesitate to call them for my next job and I am glad I found a team who can do any landscape job. Call them. You won’t be sorry.Jerry H

When it comes to maintaining the health and beauty of oak trees, proper shaping plays a crucial role. Oak shaping is not just about aesthetics; it is a vital practice that ensures the longevity and overall well-being of these majestic trees.

Enhancing Structural Integrity: Oak shaping involves carefully removing dead or weak branches, promoting the growth of healthy ones. By eliminating these hazardous branches, the structural integrity of the oak tree is strengthened, reducing the risk of breakage or damage during storms or high winds.

Promoting Air Circulation and Sunlight: Overgrown oak trees can inhibit the circulation of air and the penetration of sunlight, resulting in poor health and growth. Shaping the oak tree allows for better airflow and sunlight exposure, promoting optimal photosynthesis and nutrient absorption.

Preventing Disease and Pest Infestations: Dense foliage and overcrowded branches create a favorable environment for the development of diseases and pests. By shaping the oak tree, it becomes easier to identify and address any potential issues, preventing the spread of diseases and minimizing the risk of infestations.

Maintaining Desired Size and Shape: Proper shaping helps to maintain the desired size and shape of oak trees, making them more aesthetically pleasing and suitable for their surroundings. This ensures that the tree does not outgrow its designated space and maintains its desired appearance over time.

Encouraging New Growth: Oak shaping stimulates new growth by promoting the development of lateral branches and buds. This allows the tree to rejuvenate itself and maintain its vitality, ensuring its longevity and ability to provide shade and beauty for years to come.

Overall Tree Health: By regularly shaping oak trees, their overall health is improved. Pruning away dead or diseased branches, reducing overcrowding, and maintaining proper tree structure all contribute to the well-being of the oak tree, leading to a healthier and more resilient specimen.

Understanding the importance of oak shaping is essential for any tree owner or tree service provider in Houston. By implementing proper shaping practices, oak trees can thrive, adding value and beauty to their surroundings.

Choosing the Right Time for Oak Shaping

When it comes to oak shaping, timing is crucial for the health and growth of the tree. Properly pruning and shaping oak trees at the right time can ensure their longevity and overall well-being. Understanding the best time to perform oak shaping can help homeowners and tree service professionals achieve the desired results and avoid potential harm to the tree.

There are a few key factors to consider when determining the ideal time for oak shaping. Firstly, it is important to consider the specific species of oak tree, as different types may have varying growth patterns and pruning requirements. Additionally, the climate and weather conditions of the Houston area should be taken into account, as they can influence the tree's response to pruning and shaping.

Generally, oak trees are best pruned during their dormant season, which typically occurs in late winter or early spring. Pruning during this time allows the tree to heal more effectively and minimizes the risk of disease or pest infestation. It is important to avoid pruning oak trees during the active growing season, as this can disrupt their growth and leave them vulnerable to stress and potential damage.

Another factor to consider is the specific goals of the oak shaping. If the aim is to remove dead or diseased branches, this can be done at any time of the year to prevent further damage to the tree. However, if the goal is to shape the tree for aesthetic purposes, it is best to wait until the dormant season to minimize stress on the tree and promote healthy growth.

In conclusion, choosing the right time for oak shaping is essential for maintaining the health and vitality of the tree. Considering the species of oak, climate conditions, and specific goals of the shaping process can help homeowners and tree service professionals make informed decisions and ensure the long-term well-being of oak trees in Houston.

The process of oak shaping requires careful consideration and skill to ensure the tree's health and aesthetic appeal. This section will discuss some of the essential tools and techniques that tree service professionals use for proper oak shaping.

1. Pruning Tools

  • Hand pruners: These small, handheld tools are ideal for trimming small branches and twigs.
  • Loppers: Loppers have long handles and are used for cutting larger branches with more precision.
  • Pole pruners: With an extended reach, pole pruners allow for trimming high branches without the need for a ladder.
  • Chainsaws: Chainsaws are used for larger and more intensive cutting tasks, such as removing entire branches or sections of the tree.

2. Techniques for Oak Shaping

When shaping oak trees, it is important to follow proper techniques to ensure the tree's health and longevity:

  • Prune during the dormant season: Oak trees should be pruned during the dormant season, typically in late winter or early spring. This helps reduce the risk of disease and promotes faster healing of pruning wounds.
  • Remove dead or diseased branches: Dead or diseased branches should be promptly removed to prevent the spread of infection and improve the overall health of the tree.
  • Consider the tree's natural form: It is important to work with the tree's natural shape and growth patterns when pruning. This helps maintain the tree's structural integrity and enhances its aesthetic appeal.
  • Use proper pruning cuts: Making clean and precise pruning cuts is crucial for the tree's health. Avoid leaving stubs or making flush cuts, as these can lead to decay and other issues.
  • Thin the canopy: Thinning the canopy involves selectively removing branches to improve air circulation and reduce the risk of branch breakage during storms.
  • Avoid over-pruning: Over-pruning can weaken the tree and make it more susceptible to pests and diseases. It is important to strike a balance between shaping the tree and preserving its overall health.

By utilizing the right tools and following proper techniques, tree service professionals can effectively shape oak trees, ensuring their health, safety, and visual appeal.

Common Mistakes to Avoid in Oak Shaping

When it comes to oak shaping, there are certain mistakes that many people make, which can have negative consequences for the health and aesthetics of the tree. By understanding these common mistakes, you can ensure that your oak trees in Houston thrive and remain beautiful for years to come.

1. Over-pruning

One of the most common mistakes in oak shaping is over-pruning. While it may be tempting to remove a large amount of branches to achieve a desired shape, excessive pruning can weaken the tree and make it more susceptible to diseases and pests. It's important to follow proper pruning techniques and only remove the necessary branches to maintain the tree's health and structure.

2. Improper timing

Another mistake to avoid is pruning oak trees at the wrong time. Pruning during the active growing season can stimulate excessive growth and leave the tree vulnerable to diseases. On the other hand, pruning during dormancy can prevent the tree from properly healing and increase the risk of infections. Understanding the specific timing requirements for oak trees in Houston is crucial to avoid damaging the tree during the pruning process.

By being aware of these common mistakes and taking the necessary precautions, you can ensure that your oak trees are properly shaped and maintained, enhancing the beauty and health of your landscape.
