Right before I was ready to sign on the dotted line with another group, I met Barry Burkholder from the Burkholder Group . Initial impression was one of confidence, competence, genuine customer service, and desire to partner with his clients so they are 100% happy with the outcome . Wow ! Imagine that ! The Burkholder Brothers are a well-oiled machine with a comprehensive business plan from soup to nuts designing, executing, and caring for landscapes . We went through the blueprint process with Barry and his designer, Deb Wright with ease . Deb has a good read on people which allows her to not only anticipate but ensure that expectations are set which is very important . She listened to ideas that we brought forward, and helped to reconcile differences that I had with my husband about the project.The job started in early March 2018 . During this time, we experienced 4 Noreasters, flooding, and what at times, felt like mud slides . The weather was NOT our friend . This was a complex job that involved re-building a swell in the back yard, underground piping, electrical installations, pool decking, a retainer wall, removing many trees, re-configuring and re-mapping, and the list goes on signs of overwatering juniper . Barrys crew were very hard working, professional, pleasant, and they cleaned up . They genuinely appeared to enjoy working for the Burkholder Brothers . One landscaper in particular, Jason, did an outstanding job . Every time I saw him, he was doing his craft, with conviction . He took so much care and pride in his work, he truly has a passion for nature and beauty . I am incredibly appreciative to him . At one point, when we were having what felt like flooding to me, I called Barry and he sent the Project Manager right over to investigate . Dan, the project manager, was there in no time, which put my mind at ease . Dan was very responsive to my emails throughout the project . Although Barry is one of the owners, I felt he was accessible at all times to me as well, and always reassured and delivered . He did not disappear after being awarded the contract as many business owners do . Another thing I really appreciated is that the contract was very clear, outlining the project and time points of payments which allowed me to do my financial planning . There were no hidden fees or issues that popped up outside of the contract . So I believe that most things were assessed properly, and accounted for on their end; and that is very important for the success of a project.I bought my outside furniture from Burkholder Brothers and worked with Melody . Melody is very helpful, pleasant, polite, and demonstrated great customer service . She was patience with me when I changed my mind, at least twice, adding, and removing items from the order list . It was fun to work with Melody, and I felt she was genuinely excited for me which is hard to find in customer service . I recently had the furniture delivered and it is beautiful . Thank you Melody!If you are looking for a comprehensive approach to landscape design large or small, I highly recommend Burkholder Brothers . You will be very happy with their professionalism, expectation management, customer service, work ethic, and design abilities . You may pay a little bit more but you will get what you expect, and be very happy with the outcome . You will not have to think too much once they start the project, as there is a great level of communication which is key . Your mind will be at ease . Their employees seem happy, and I think that says it a lot about the group . I have a restored faith in these type of industries now thanks to Barry and his team.

They Put in 3 silver date palms for me. Very thorough and helpful, not only in the install and planting but also on how to take care of the trees. 3 years later, still answering calls on how to care during cold weather. Awesome customer service!

On Friday, March 15, 2024, I attempted to shop with my 2 daughters at Dollar Tree’s Bartonsville location, arriving at appx . 5:45pm . We are avid Dollar Tree shoppers, spending at the least $250/week . We LOVE Dollar Tree! ! Unfortunately, on this evening between 6-6:15pm we encountered a very disrespectful employee by the name of “Kathy or Cathy” . Here is how the incident began… . I reunited with my beautiful 21yo and 13yo daughters, after shopping in a different aisle, and the eldest whispered to me that said employee approached them telling them ‘they cannot KEEP opening the nail polish’ and said ‘the glass is right there, there is no reason to pick up the nail polish’…. . I then approached said employee to get clarification on the matter . “Kathy or Cathy” IMMEDIATELY became defensive and said she saw them OPEN the polish because she saw the brush out of the bottle and said she wouldn’t have approached them if she didn’t do peach trees bloom or leaf first . I looked over to my girls for their response in front of her, and they both adamantly denied her claim . I believe them 100% . They are both MATURE and TRUSTWORTHY young ladies . The employee (referring to Kathy or Cathy), then VOLUNTARILY said she will pull up the video and show me . I allowed her the time to do just that . During the waiting period, we kindly returned the over $50 worth of highly desired items to their respective shelves . Upon returning to the register, I requested the video footage the employee offered…to no avail . The employee said she does not have access to the very footage she offered to show us, she now says she can only view the camera LIVE (it is obvious she only offered to show the video to support her false claim at the time) . I advised the employee, that I put everything in our carts back neatly on the shelves and will NOT be shopping at that location again and that I will be leaving a review of my experience, she replied she doesn’t care and DOES NOT CARE about the reviews!! ! She then stormed off with a cold look on her face, into the office, allowing the door to slam behind her . We then left, empty-handed after such a distasteful experience at one of our favorite establishments . The experience was insulting to say the least . “Kathy or Cathy”, lacks humility, she is not fit for customer service of any kind . There is no room for improvement, because she obviously does not think she is wrong . She left a terrible mark on the Dollar Tree brand . One employee should not leave such a negative effect on ANY customer . I look forward to hearing from Dollar Tree’s corporate office in search of a resolution and will be following up . Thank you for your time.
